A big, big thank you to everyone who came out and played in the Turkey Shoot. The weather was far from ideal and we appreciate the fact that everyone toughed it out in far less than perfect golfing weather. Thanks so much!

Southers Marsh Club Championship
Eric Fernandez won the Club Championship for the 5th time in dramatic fashion.
Eric built a nice 4 shot lead over perennial nemesis and defending champion Tim Cuthbert after an opening round 60 featuring 3 birdies and 2 bogeys. They were joined in the final group by Ryan Nolan who had shaken off an opening 9 38 with birdies on 11, 12, 13, and 15 to sit 6 back after the first round. Eric extended his lead to 6 strokes 3 holes into the second round, but ran into trouble with a triple bogey on 5. When Eric bogeyed 6 and Tim birdied, Tim was within a stroke. Tim eventually took the lead with a birdie on 9 but gave it right back with a bogey on 10. But everything turned on 13. Tim blew up with an 8, Eric parred, but Ryan made his second birdie of the day on that hole and suddenly was within 2 strokes of the lead. Eric and Ryan m atched pars on 14 and birdies on 15. When Eric bogeyed 17, Ryan was within a stroke standing on the final tee of the day. Unfortunately, he blew his drive way right into the fescue to the side of the 15th tee and had trouble coming out. Eric just missed driving into the pond on 18, but salvaged bogey and clinched his 5th title by 2 strokes.
Congrats Eric!
