Southers Marsh Club Championship - 13 Players

Congratulations to Tim Cuthbert for being the first 5 time Club Champion in Southers Marsh history. In the immortal words of Eric Fernandez, Tim had the best round he had ever seen in the rain-soaked first round. Tim shot an even par 61, including rolling in a 40 footer on 16, putting in from off the fringe on 17 fro 25 feet, and rolling in a 35 footer on 18 for 3 consecutive birdies to extend his lead to 6 strokes after the first round. However, after Tim shot a 38 on the front nine of the second round, Eric and Mark Shay were back in striking distance, and both of them were jsut 2 strokes back after Mark birdied 10. But trouble struck for the contenders on 12 when Mark bogeyed and Eric doubled, and Tim never gave them a glimmer of hope after that with a string of routine pars and a birdie on 17 to finish the back nine in with a 30. Nice work and well deserved championship, Tim!
